The most popular spot in Mati is the 7-kilometer, white sand Dahican Beach. Dahican comes from the local word “Dahik” which describes the way sea turles crawl up the beach to lay their eggs in the summer months. Facing the Pacific Ocean, Dahican’s strong waves have also become the perfect spot for skimboarding and surfing.
